The design of L'Hydroptère is the result of Eric Tabarly meeting with Alain de Bergh and André Sournat, two aeronautical engineers, and François Lefaudeux, a marine engineer. Alain Thébault has turned the idea into a reality. In my search for a cartop boat I have started to look at multihulls. What does this have to do with L'Hydroptère? Not a thing, I clicked a link to L'Hydroptère on BoatDesign Net and was captivated by her beauty.
