Have A Better Weekend Than These Guys.

Boat for sale......really cheap.....name your price.
Contact Carol Anne or Pat for more information.

Update: Thank you CA for telling me about the omitted letter. I hate it when I do things like that, especially with a teacher waiting in the wings holding a red marker pen in her hand.

Maps On Monday. The Entrance To San Francisco Bay.

Shawn, take a look at the chart. This is why waves wrap around the point into the cove at (almost) 90 degrees. It's a good place to surf (if you like big rocks, crazy swells, cranky surfers, playing with strong tides and currents....not me).

The chart also shows you why you don't want to sail between the south tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point.

You remember Capt. Joe Schidmt. He learned how to surf the hard way.

To quote the Puffin, "Munchola!"

I Told You, Balance The Boat!

The Ice Prince listing to her side.

The Ice Prince was a 328ft Greek-registered cargo ship which sank in the English channel on January 15, 2008, spilling 2,516 tonnes of timber, around 423 tonnes of intermediate fuel oil and 123 tonnes of marine diesel oil. Twenty crew members were rescued by helicopter and lifeboat. (See the video here.)

Timber from the cargo washed ashore along the south coast of England. Beaches along the south coast of England were closed to prevent looters taking away washed-up timber.
